  Francesco De Gregori è stato x me – soprattutto negli anni Settanta in Liguria – un fratello maggiore mitico e ideale. Uno capace d dare forma alle sue ossessioni e d fartele sentire tue; uno d quelli ke, quando sei sulla strada senza sonno e senza un posto dove andare, t parla dalla piccola cassa d un mangianastri e t dice nell’orekkio cosa sta succedendo e quali sono i modi giusti x affrontare le cose, la vita, la società aliena. Con questo background, potete ben immaginare la mia gioia estasiata quando, x ben due volte, ho avuto l’onore d cantare insieme a lui su un palco. So ke gli devo molto xké Francesco è uno skivo e discreto, e nn gli piacciono granké queste cose. La prima volta fu il giorno d San Valentino del 2002, sul palketto del “Lettere-Caffè” d Trastevere: suonammo dei brani d Dylan e poi misi la mia armonica su un suo brano, “Battere e levare” (ho le registrazioni da qualke parte). Era successo questo. Ero da poco uscito dai postumi del mio secondo infarto (quello in cui sono morto x 3 mnt) e dalla convalescenza post-operatoria, e stavo organizzando una sorta d mega-ritorno sulle scene, x ringraziare tutti gli amici e i colleghi ke mi erano stati vicini. Una bella mattina (andavo a lavorare anke convalescente, xké c’era da mandare avanti la famiglia) ecco ke io e i miei colleghi busker d piazza Navona c vediamo arrivare Francesco con la sua tipica falcata principesca. Dopo i saluti, gli dissi della mia festa imminenete, e lui mi promise d venire. Mantenne la promessa, e mi fece strafelice. Poco più d un anno dopo, al “Classico” d via Libetta, l’incontro artistico si è ripetuto. Avevo già suonato col mio gruppo sul palco in occasione d un tributo all’amico Fabio Tassi, scomparso da poke settimane, e subito lui, Francesco – ke nn era in programma – mi si è era fatto sotto dicendo: “T va se saliamo a fare un brano insieme?”. Dissi d sì, ovviamente, e andammo su a fare “Tomorrow is a long time” d Dylan a due voci. Una tenerezza unica.
